We had the pleasure to work with this extraordinary performing arts company from Veracruz Mexico, as managers for their 2019-202 USA Tour, supported by Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America program. | Tuvimos el placer de trabajar con esta extraordinaria compañía de artes escénicas de Veracruz, México, como representantes de su gira por los Estados Unidos en 2019-2020, con el apoyo del programa Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America.
Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America is a national initiative in partnership between Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, that provides support for the presentation of exemplary performing artists from Latin America in communities across the United States. | Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America es una iniciativa nacional estadounidense en colaboración entre Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation y the National Endowment for the Arts, que brinda apoyo a la presentación de artistas escénicos ejemplares de América Latina en comunidades de todo Estados Unidos.
About ¡Vívelo!
¡Vívelo! is a journey through the wide diversity of rhythms and traditions that gave rise to the Son Jarocho genre, such as the indigenous influence with its participatory atmosphere in dance, the sacred-profane syncretism, instruments, clothing, props and its space-time symbolism, the African influence from the speed in its songs, passing through the responsorial songs and the use of the syncopation and finally the Spanish one, in its musical and literary forms until the use of the “décima” and the “seguidilla” in its songs.
This is how ¡Vívelo!, apart from being a great show, is an experience aimed to all audiences, whose main objective is to approach the audience the to Son Jarocho music and dance tradition, allowing them to enjoy this modern and contemporary version, while still distinguishing its essence and traditional characteristics.

Acerca de ¡Vívelo!
¡Vívelo! es un recorrido por una amplia diversidad de ritmos y tradiciones que dieron origen al género del Son Jarocho en el estado mexicano de Veracruz. Esta combinación única comenzó a desarrollarse durante la colonización española de la región: tradiciones prehispánicas de ambiente participativo en la danza, el sincretismo sacro-profano, instrumentos, indumentaria, atrezzo y su simbolismo mezclado con la influencia africana de los esclavos españoles, agregando velocidad en sus cantos, canciones responsoriales y el uso de la síncopa. Todo esto mezclado hace de ¡Vívelo! una experiencia dirigida a todos los públicos con el objetivo principal de compartir la tradición de la música y la danza de Son Jarocho con todos; y permitirles disfrutar de esta versión contemporánea sin dejar de distinguir su esencia y características tradicionales.
