Nuestra residente de Apapacho en enero de 2026 fue Amaia Amezaga, quien es creadora interdisciplinaria hispano-noruega residente en México. Su práctica se sitúa en la intersección entre los sueños, el arte fragmentario y el simbolismo. Trabaja desde un enfoque procesual, donde el cuerpo, la memoria y la intuición funcionan como ejes metodológicos. Su trayectoria vital entre España, Noruega, India y México ha marcado profundamente su sensibilidad artística y su relación con los lenguajes interiores.
Durante más de veinte años ha explorado la filosofía védica, el yoga y la meditación, integrando estas prácticas en una investigación personal sobre percepción interna, psique y transformación.
Actualmente desarrolla Oniromantes, un archivo en proceso que reúne sueños, imágenes, microtextos y fragmentos simbólicos. Desde una aproximación no clínica, investiga el sueño como territorio de resonancias internas, patrones emergentes y movimientos de individuación. Parte de su práctica consiste en compartir esta metodología intuitiva para que otras personas puedan acercarse a sus propios sueños desde la escucha y la sensibilidad interna.
Amaia comparte, “Hace muchísimos años que no había tenido la oportunidad de enfocarme solo en mi labor creativa. Lo que surgió de ese retiro/residencia fue no solo algunas de mis obras mas preciadas, sino también la semilla para el diseño de experiencias oníricas que hoy en día veo manifestarse en el mundo. La gente está empezando a responder de manera increíble, les ayudo a reconectarse con su propia intuición, sabiduría interior y creatividad a través de los sueños. Todo esto comenzó a emerger durante la experiencia en Apapacho.”
“Me encantaron los libros y la posibilidad de transformar el espacio a mi gusto, así como la ubicación y la oportunidad de crear sin presiones, ya que no había exigencia alguna respecto al resultado. Fue un paso realmente importante que sembró semillas muy significativas para mis procesos creativos.”

Our Apapacho resident in January 2026 was Amaia Amezaga, an interdisciplinary Spanish-Norwegian creator based in Mexico. Her practice sits at the intersection of dreams, fragmentary art, and symbolism. She works from a process-oriented approach, in which the body, memory, and intuition serve as methodological anchors. Her life journey—spanning Spain, Norway, India, and Mexico—has profoundly shaped her artistic sensibility and her relationship with inner languages.
For over twenty years, he has explored Vedic philosophy, yoga, and meditation, integrating these practices into a personal inquiry into inner perception, the psyche, and transformation.
She is currently developing Oniromantes, an archive-in-progress that gathers dreams, images, micro-texts, and symbolic fragments. Adopting a non-clinical approach, she investigates dreaming as a territory of internal resonances, emergent patterns, and movements of individuation. Part of her practice involves sharing this intuitive methodology so that others may approach their own dreams through deep listening and inner sensitivity.
Amaia shares, “It had been so many years since I last had the opportunity to focus solely on my creative work. What emerged from that retreat/residency was not only some of my most cherished pieces but also the seed for the design of dream-like experiences that I now see manifesting in the world. People are beginning to respond in incredible ways; I help them reconnect with their own intuition, inner wisdom, and creativity through dreams. All of this began to emerge during the experience at Apapacho.”
“Loved so much the books and being able to transform the space as i wanted, the location, the opportunity to create without any pressure, because there was no pressure for any outcome. This was a really important step that planted very significant seeds for my creative processes.”
